European Orders Policy (Post-Brexit Shipping)

Following the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union, new customs, VAT, and import rules apply to all orders shipped from the UK to EU countries.

By placing an order with Beautizone Ltd, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Brexit & EU Shipping Overview

From 1 January 2021, the United Kingdom is no longer part of the EU Single Market or Customs Union. As a result:

  • EU orders are treated as imports

  • Customs clearance is required

  • VAT, customs duties, and courier handling fees may apply on arrival

These charges are determined by the destination country, not by Beautizone Ltd.


2. Customs Duty & VAT Charges

Will I be charged customs duty or VAT?

Yes. Due to Brexit-related changes:

  • Import VAT may be applied by your local customs authority

  • Customs duties may apply to orders with a value over €150

  • VAT thresholds and rates vary by country

All applicable charges are payable by the customer upon import.


3. Additional Courier Handling Fees

In addition to VAT and customs duties, couriers may apply administration or handling fees.

  • These fees are set by the destination country and courier

  • Beautizone Ltd has no control over these charges

  • Handling fees vary by country and service level


4. Country-Specific Import Restrictions (Important)

Each EU country applies its own import rules, particularly for cosmetics and personal care items.

Before placing an order, customers must check with their local customs authority regarding permitted quantities, licensing, or personal-use limits.

As guidance only (subject to change):

  • Spain: Cosmetics not permitted for private individuals

  • Italy: Maximum 4 items total, no more than 2 of the same product

  • Portugal: Private use only

  • Greece: Maximum 3 items

Customers must comply with all local laws and regulations.

⚠️ Failure to understand or comply with your country’s import rules may result in your parcel being returned or refused.


5. Returned or Refused EU Shipments

If a parcel is:

  • Refused by the customer

  • Returned due to unpaid VAT, duties, or fees

  • Returned due to import restrictions

Then:

  • Only the product value may be refunded (once returned and inspected)

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable

  • Return shipping or customs charges may be deducted from any refund

If goods are seized or destroyed by customs, no refund will be issued.


6. Payment of Taxes & Duties

Where applicable, the courier (e.g. DHL) will contact you before delivery to collect:

  • Import VAT

  • Customs duty

  • Handling or administration fees

You will usually receive an email and/or SMS with a payment link.

Failure to pay these charges will result in the shipment being returned.

To avoid delays, customers must ensure their email address and phone number are correct at checkout.


7. Responsibility for Charges

All customs duties, VAT, and handling fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Beautizone Ltd:

  • Cannot predict the amount of these charges

  • Has no control over them

  • Cannot reimburse or cover them


8. Delivery Services to Europe

EU Destinations

We offer the following DHL services:

  • DHL Economy (Road):
    Estimated 3–10 business days
    Most cost-effective option

  • DHL Express (Air):
    Estimated 2–5 business days
    Fastest service available

Non-EU Destinations

  • DHL Express only
    Estimated 2–7 business days

⚠️ Delivery times are estimates and subject to customs clearance.


9. Delivery Delays

International delivery times may be affected by:

  • Customs inspections

  • Brexit-related border controls

  • Local regulations

  • External factors (e.g. port congestion, operational delays)

Beautizone Ltd shall not be held liable for delays once goods have been dispatched.


10. Delivery Costs

European delivery prices are:

  • Calculated automatically at checkout

  • Based on weight, destination, and service selected


11. Do Delivery Prices Include VAT, Duty & Fees?

No.
All delivery prices exclude:

  • Import VAT

  • Customs duties

  • Courier handling or administration fees

These charges are payable separately by the customer.


12. Acceptance of EU Shipping Terms

By completing your purchase, you confirm that you:

  • Understand your order is subject to customs clearance

  • Accept responsibility for VAT, duties, and fees

  • Acknowledge country-specific import restrictions

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not place a European order.
